Welcome to my website
I am a keen photographer, living in the East Anglia region of England.
Outside work and photography, I have a range of interests, including: Architecture, Archaeology, Music, and Natural History. I do try to combine these with a love of photography.
With the exception of the South Africa photographs, something the photographs on this website have in common, is that they were all taken in the British Isles.
To further my interests, I have travelled widely around these islands, from Devon and Cornwall in the southwest; west to Wales and Ireland; north to Scotland, further north across the Pentland Firth to Orkney and on to Shetland; over the Little Minch to the Western Isles and east to Northumberland and East Anglia.
Everywhere I have encountered friendly people, stunning scenery, fabulous wildlife and a great variety of local customs and styles.
The average citizen of these countries seems to be unaware of the beauty and variety that exist in this collection of small islands that we call the United Kingdom. If I can do something to address that anomoly through these photographs, then I will feel I have achieved something.
I work in the Highways Industry and have taken hundreds of photographs at construction sites and have combined my 38 years experience in the industry and 31 years in photography to produce high quality portfolios. I hold a Gold CSCS (Health and Safety) card, an essential qualification in the litigeous society we live and work in.
